Samsung 990 Pro PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD Review

Anvil’s Storage Benchmark

Anvil’s Storage Utilities is a complete benchmark solution used to test any writeable storage drive.

Right out of the gate, the Samsung 990 Pro is delivering some great performance. The Seq 4MB is hitting around 5000 MB/s in this test, but we often see this test coming in lower than rated spec, so that’s still one of the fastest scores we’ve seen here, and it’s around 3300 points higher than the Samsung 980 Pro scored.

Peter Donnell

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
