Acoustic Performance
That massive cooler sure is impressive to look at, but it’s also impressive in use. For a lot of the testing we did the card was quite happy to run passively and completely silent. Even under full load for extended periods those large fans kept things quiet at just 42 dBa, which is very impressive.
Thermal Performance
Amazingly, the card managed to have one of our lowest idle temperatures, even with the fan stopped! The GPU core maxed out at 65c in our test, which is also very impressive, it’s cooler than our aftermarket PowerColor RX470 which also comes with a high-end cooler.
Power Usage
Efficiency isn’t the strong point for AMD GPUs, but impressively the card is using just 277 watts, not quite as good as the similarly performing GTX 1060, but still pretty decent overall.
