Sapphire Reveal New GPUs and Motherboards @ Computex 2025

Computex 2025: The eTeknix team is here at Computex 2025 in Taipei, Taiwan, bringing you coverage of the latest, greatest, and next-generation of PC hardware, components, gaming tech, and much more! While we’re currently on the show floor taking many pictures and having meetings, we will endeavour to update our live gallery throughout the day, which you can check out here!
Sapphire
Sapphire is well known for their award-winning graphics cards. However, while they have dabbled with motherboards in the past, it was relatively short-lived. They had some success in China, but not much happened in Western markets. However, it looks like they’re making a big come back over the next few months, with a range of great looking motherboards that lean into the same branding scheme as their graphics cards.
For example, the Nitro+ X870EA WIFI PhantomLink, leaning into that popular Nitro+ branding we see on their high-end graphics cards. I’m a big fan of Sapphire, so having the option to pair up a motherboard and GPU from them seems like a win-win. Plus, the overall features, build quality, and design look to be very competitive too. Hopefully, we’ll have one on our test benches in the coming months.

PhatomLink is a cool addition too, it’s basically their take on BTF, allowing for a much cleaner cable management design on their GPUs. Supported cards will feature a magnetically mounted back plate, allowing you to plug in the PSU cable out of sight. There are additional pins facilitate BTF motherboards too, giving you a much cleaner build overall; a simple but very welcome upgrade.

I know AI is everywhere, but sometimes, it’s done right. These new compact systems are brilliant, offering multiple M.2 mounting solutions that can house lots of storage, and even M.2 mounted AI accelerators, allowing you to scale them to your needs, be that security detection systems, image recognition, IOT and much more. Plus, they had one hooked up to an iGPU, giving you even more ways to spec this to your needs. It’ll most likely come barebones, but we expect retailers will offer it as a package too.

While Sapphire doesn’t really have much new right now, they did have their current lineup of AMD GPUs on display, and again, we still think they’re some of the best made, and best looking graphics cards on the market

But, of course, there is something new from AMD today, and that’s the 9060 series. The Sapphire RX 9060 XT features a dual-fan design, and comes with a choice of 8GB and 16GB variants each priced at $299 and $349 respectively. Early hints are that the performance and price is similar to that of the RTX 5060 Ti, but we’ll wait to we get them on our own test bench to confirm this. What you will love is that it uses a single 6+2 PSU connector, so it’ll be compatible with the good old PCIe cable.
