Scythe Launches Kotetsu Mark 4 Quiet Air Cooler for Entry Level Systems
Scythe, the well-known Japanese manufacturer of cooling solutions, has officially announced the launch of its new CPU cooler — the Kotetsu Mark 4 (SCKTT-4000).
Improved Cooling Performance and Design
This model arrives as the direct successor to the popular Kotetsu Mark 3, maintaining the same philosophy: offering a compact, high-performance air cooling solution at an affordable price. It’s ideal for entry-level and mid-range PCs.
The Kotetsu Mark 4 introduces several key improvements in both airflow and finish compared to its predecessor. It retains the classic single-tower design but now includes a new 120 mm Wonder Tornado fan, controlled by PWM and optimized to achieve a balance between airflow and quiet operation.
According to Scythe’s specifications, the noise level ranges from a nearly inaudible 3.0 dBA up to 28.88 dBA under heavy load. It also delivers static pressure from 0.05 to 2.45 mmH₂O, ensuring efficient cooling for standard CPUs and builds that don’t involve heavy overclocking.
Enhanced Aesthetics and Compatibility
Visually, the cooler now features a redesigned top cover, giving it a more modern and polished look inside your PC setup. Scythe has also simplified the installation process, making it quicker and easier for users who prefer straightforward mounting.
In terms of compatibility, the Kotetsu Mark 4 supports a wide range of current Intel and AMD CPU platforms. It should work perfectly with the latest Ryzen and Core processors without any issues.
In summary, the Kotetsu Mark 4 represents a modest yet meaningful upgrade — a silent, compatible, and affordable CPU cooler that continues Scythe’s tradition of reliability and efficiency.
