Scythe the Japanese firm that specialises in cooling products for computers is back with two new products. They are from the “Kaze” range and they are fan controllers. Scythe has recognised that the modern PC chassis has more fans than a lot of fan controllers currently support. Therefore, offering the Q8 and Q12 fan controllers users can support either 8 or 12 fans in the fan controller and therefore change the speed of all 8 chassis fans allowing users to optimise their airflow and noise preferences.
The Q8 will come in a 3.5″ design so it will fit into a floppy bay or a front 5.25″ floppy bay adapter. The Q12 takes up a single 5.25″ bay at the front of your case. Both controllers come in brushed black, white or silver colours to blend in with modern brush-finish cases. Each individual fan controller supports voltage ranges between 5 and 12 and has an LED to signify when a fan is present.
The Q8 will retail for around £20 and the Q12 for around £30.
