I could not find any price listings at the time of this review. However, I do expect it to come in around the $600 marker. It is already available, but prices are on request as customers of this kind of drive rarely purchase just one.

What an impressive drive, seriously! The Exos X14 delivers performance, capacity, and security in a single package. What could you want more? We saw everything from consistent performance to high numbers in our results. Especially worth highlighting are the random write performance and access times. The Exos X14 really shines in those areas when compared to other drives I’ve tested in the past.

With PowerBalance, PowerChoice, Seagate Secure, and Seagate RAID Rebuild, you also get an overall improved TCO. You take control of the drive, making you able to set the power level the drive should run on. On top of all that, you also get certified full drive encryption without any kind of performance impact. Just the way it should be.

With a workload rating of 550TB a year, the drive should last you a very long time. That’s also a fact which is reflected in the 5-year warranty.
