The Game Drive comes nicely packaged, with a large window on the front so that you can see the actual product, not just a picture of it.
The box has all the key details, such as the 2TB capacity and compatibility. Now, it may be PlayStation branded, but really there’s no reason why you can’t plug this into your Xbox, laptop, PC, TV, etc.
The packaging is nice and durable, and there’s both a folded cardboard and a plastic insert providing added protection.
In the box, you’ll find all the usual documentation, nothing particularly exciting about that. You also get a USB cable, and the device is plug-and-play, with no need for external power. There’s also a collection of stickers in the box, which I don’t care for, but my kids would have these slapped on the back of their iPads the moment I turn my back.
The cable is white, and it’s a standard external drive cable, so it’s easily replaced should it become lost or damaged.
