Seagate has today launched its new FireCuda 540 Gen 5 NVMe SSD offering high-speed storage provided by PCIe Gen 5.
The Seagate FireCuda 540 is the company’s fastest and highest-performance M.2 2280 SSD to date delivering sequential read and write speeds of up to 10,000 MB/s. This drive has been built for sustained, pro-level gaming and accelerated content creation performing 50% faster than the previous generation Gen 4 drives. The Seagate 540 is fitted with the latest 3D TLC NAND technology and a Seagate-validated E26 controller providing the most advanced speed and durability. The drive is so durable in fact that it offers up to 2000 TB of total bytes written as well as a 1.8M mean time between failures.
