Seasonic Reportedly Developing a 1000W Fanless Power Supply
According to recent reports, Seasonic might be developing a PRIME TX fanless 1000W power supply unit.
A New 1000W Fanless Power Supply from Seasonic
The latest rumors suggest that Seasonic’s plan to launch a power supply with these features is quite real. This new model would be part of the PRIME Fanless TX family and is expected to have an 80 PLUS Titanium certification, offering an efficiency rating of around 94%.
If confirmed, this would mark a major step forward for the company’s fanless series, as the most powerful model currently available is rated at 700W. A 1000W model would make it ideal for workstations with dual GPUs or high-power single-GPU systems. Like other products in the same line, it would include a 12-year warranty and standard 12V ATX cabling.
A power supply of this kind would give Seasonic the perfect opportunity to compete with other leading brands. For example, Cooler Master’s X Silent Edge series already offers high-power, fanless PSUs. Their X Silent Edge Platinum models, available in 850W and 1000W versions, feature ATX 3.1 design and native 12V-2×6 GPU connectors.
At the moment, these are still just rumors, as Seasonic has not yet listed this model on its official website. However, there are strong indications that this could be the next major step for the company in the power supply market.
