Silent Hill Townfall Appears to Be a PS5 Console Exclusive at Launch
It seems that Silent Hill Townfall, the new spin-off in Konami’s horror series, will be a PS5 console exclusive, at least at launch.
The latest trailer already hinted at this, as it only showed the PlayStation and PC logos. Now there is more confirmation from the official website, where the listed platforms are PS5, Steam, and Epic Games Store. This does not fully rule out future versions for Xbox or Nintendo Switch 2, which could be announced later, but for now they are not mentioned.
A Timed Exclusive Like Silent Hill 2 Remake?
If the exclusivity is confirmed, Silent Hill Townfall would be the second partnership between Konami and Sony since the series returned. As you may remember, the Silent Hill 2 remake developed by Bloober Team was a timed PS5 exclusive for one year. In contrast, Silent Hill f launched on both PlayStation and Xbox from day one.
After a long time away from the spotlight, Silent Hill Townfall appeared again during last week’s State of Play. It was later featured in a dedicated Konami showcase, where it was confirmed that the game will launch in 2026.
In other news, Bloober Team is adopting a faster release schedule for major titles like the Silent Hill 2 Remake and the upcoming Cronos: The New Dawn to become a leader in the “horror genre.”
