Silverstone Fortress FT03-MINI PC Chassis Review

Starting at the front left of the chassis you can see we have the black version (obviously), which sports a silver bade in the centre and a slot CD port on the bottom right for use with a slim line DVD/CD drive, which helps save space inside the chassis.

Around the back you will notice this chassis doesn’t have the usual back plate you find on most cases, instead the power, USB, video, etc cable go into the top of the chassis via a removable grilled panel, with some cable management cut outs on the left and rear side giving room for the cables to leave the chassis.

A closer look at the top panel we can see that it features a power and reset button on the left and side, followed by the power and hard drive LEDs after that, finally there are two USB 3.0 / 2.0 ports with the headset ports between those.

Lifting the top panel off, which comes off easily as its only held on with light clips, you can see where the back plate of both the motherboard and the PSU face out toward the top of the chassis. You can also see there are plenty of ventilation cut-outs in the top, along side a pair of expansion port covers for your GPU.

The bottom of the chassis comes with a pre-installed fan, which will be your only air intake within the chassis, pulling air from the underside of the chassis up through the top, fortunately the chassis features good ground clearance thanks to its raised feed and arch way cut-outs on all four sides.

The air intake also comes with a easy to remove dust filter for quick maintenance and cleaning.
