SilverStone is no stranger to the SFX form factor and their latest PSU falls into the same category. The SX500-G and SX650-G are the two new power supplies with 500W and 650W respectively.
SilverStone’s two new SFX PSUs feature a complete modular cable setup, despite the tiny form factor. ITX system can be particularly tricky to build due to the size limitations and available space. That’s a job which becomes a lot easier once you have a modular setup where you can detach cables and only use the ones you need. All cables are made with flexible flat arrays which should help even further with a clean setup of your new mini-build.
There was a time where you had to sacrifice efficiency for size, but that’s no longer the case. SilverStone built the SX500-G and the SX600-G with all Japanese capacitors and achieved an 80Plus Gold certification. The PSUs are both built with a single +12V rail and they feature a strict plus/minus 3% voltage regulation and low ripple and noise.
Silence is gold, or so the saying goes. That’s also the case for SilverStone’s SX500-G and SX650-G power supplies which come with a silent 92mm fan. That’s about as large a fan as it’s possible to add to an SFX PSU and it helps them to offer a noise level of just 18dBa.
The new SilverStone SX500-G and SX650-G power supplies are available now for an MSRP of €92.50 and €116.90 respectively and excl. VAT.
