A Closer Look

Out of the box, you are initially struck at just how small of a design this cooler has. The radiator appears to be quite small, even by usual 120mm standards. In addition, the pump itself is not huge, but it all carries a nice solid black design.

The tubing leading between the radiator and pump head isn’t especially long, but then again, for such a small design it doesn’t need to be. Carrying an improved design, the tubing has also been reinforced for extra protection.

While it can be moved, it is a little stiff and as such, when it comes to installation, you’re almost certainly going to want to fit the radiator first.

Radiator

A closer look at the radiator shows that it has a relatively slim design. This should, when incorporated with the fan, ensure that this can fit in practically any location (tube length dependant) within a system build.

Pump Head

Although a little difficult to make out in the image, you can just make out the SilverStone logo to the top of the pump head. This obviously starts to shine when the lights are turned on, but it is, if nothing else, a hint of what to expect.

In addition to this, there are also a few little stylistic choices in the design which give a nice bonus to the overall look. An example of this are the lines to the corner of the pump head. They were not necessary and do absolutely nothing, but they are rather slick.

The contact plate itself is nice and large which should provide excellent coverage for all main processor/socket types. It should be noted that this product isn’t Threadripper (TR4) compatible. At least, not out of the box.

With such a huge contact area, however, we hope to see some nice temperature figures in our testing.

Fan

The main fan provided is one of SilverStone’s own design. In terms of aesthetics, there isn’t much to note aside from the rather thick anti-vibration pads to the corner. Beyond this, it looks like a fairly standard fan. We do, however, expect that to change when the RGB lighting is turned on.

Overall

When assembled, the SilverStone TD03-RGB has a nice solid aesthetic. Admittedly, with the lights off it isn’t particularly remarkable, but remember that this is primarily looking to operate as a cost-effective AIO liquid cooler. As such, expectations should be kept to a realistic level.

When the lights are turned on, the effects are strong, bright and vivid. With a number of options at your disposal as well, you’re not going to struggle to find a setting that best suits your needs and wishes.
