KRAFTON has just released the PC system requirements for its upcoming The Sims rival inZOI, and if you’re wanting to push those graphics settings up, you’re going to need nothing short of a beefy gaming PC with a powerful CPU and GPU combo. That’s not that surprising given that it’s powered by Unreal Engine 5, but I think they’re misreading the market for such games. A lot of people who play these management type games run on older systems. So if you’re running an older rig, then you’ll likely be left with all the settings on their absolute minimums.

That being said, minimum settings don’t look too bad, they’ve revealed a comparison trailer which you can see above, and it does look alright. However, even then they recommend an Intel i5 10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with 12GB of RAM, which in the GPU department you’ll want an NVIDIA RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT.
Thinks ramp up significantly for recommended settings, with an Intel i7 12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D with 16GB of RAM, paired up with the more powerful NVIDIA RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT.
Then it’s off to the races, as the high PC specifications ask for an Intel i7 14700K or AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D with 32GB of RAM, and the much more powerful NVIDIA RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX.
Thankfully, the game does feature eight different presets to cater to a wider range of hardware, but if you have a high-end card, the game does support ray tracing, most likely in the form of Lumen via Unreal Engine 5, which we know to be very hardware intensive. The game will support DLSS, FSR 3 and XeSS, and like most modern games, I suspect they will be absolute essential to getting good performance, but I’m happy to be proven wrong.

inZOI will launch on March 28th in Steam Early Access, hopefully in a playable state for those who haven’t been able to afford the potent CPU and GPU combos required for those higher presets.
