Announced yesterday by GfK Chart-Track, The Elder Scrolls IV: Skyrim has beaten Modern Warfare and Battlefield 3 for the number 1 slot at this year for Christmas, the biggest selling period for games.
It was ahead of the competition by approximately 15,000 units. For the last 8 years, the Christmas number 1 slot has been held by either a Activision or EA title. The last number 1 game that wasn’t publish by the gaming giants, was GTA: Vice City back in 2002.
Despite Activision’s bragging about Modern Warfare 3, which has held the number 1 slot for the last 4 weeks, Dragonslaying has conquered.
