Snap Spectacles Available to Buy!

Snap Spectacles, the glasses with the inbuilt camera has been released in the UK. Before you all rush out to buy this must-have fashion accessory, take a minute to learn about this amazing product that will change your life completely!

Snap Spectacles! Tell me more!

Tired of your boring old sunglasses? Want to be the envy of your friends? For the person who thought they had it all, you can now buy sunglasses with a camera built-in. Yes, take snaps completely conveniently and with style with Snap Spectacles.

Ok, back down to planet Earth. NextPowerUp has reported that the glasses are currently being sold in a vending machine in London. Just by the London Eye if you’re passing. The company has started branching the Snap Spectacles throughout Europe though the model of vending machine sales. Clearly, the idea of the product is to catch the convenient passer-by who needs/wants a camera. Either that or people who just want to look a bit silly.

As above, there is one currently by the London eye, but every major European capital should have one by the end of the month. Be aware though, the company does have the habit of moving the machines around. So if you want one, you better take your chance.

Aside from looking TOTALLY amazing, why else would I want these?

The sunglasses are sold with the following features.

  • A charging case (what charges them in the case is not said…)
  • Glasses capable of taking 10-second videos.
  • An ability to wireless transmit these to Snapchat instantly.
  • A bright light flashes whilst taking the picture. Presumably, so everyone can see how silly you look.

The price tag for looking this good?… £130.00.

The camera is reported to be of a decent quality, although apparently does suffer from low lighting problems. Therefore it seems it’s only any good on a nice sunny day. Cynicism aside, I can understand why a bunch of people, out of their jollies, might find a pair of these amusing.

However, considering you can buy a nice pair of Ray Bans for roughly half that price. In fact, a pair of Ray Bans and a Nokia 3310 if you want to be a bit different without looking silly. At £130,00 Snap Spectacles are, in my opinion, only appealing to those who have too much money to spend.
