Sonic Rumble Hits 10 Million Players Ahead of Launch
Sega has announced a major milestone for the pre-registration and pre-launch phase of Sonic Rumble, its upcoming free-to-play game for PC and mobile devices, which will be available starting November 5. The company revealed that 10 million users have already shown interest — a number that promises a great start for the title.
A Global Celebration Before Launch
“We did it! We’ve reached over 10 million Early Rumblers – pre-registrations and downloads during pre-launch combined,” Sega wrote in a statement. “With so many Rumblers joining the mayhem for Global Launch, it’s time to celebrate!”
Reaching 10 million Early Rumblers also means that the 10M Early Rumbler Chao has been unlocked and will be distributed to all players once the game officially launches.
Sega recommends claiming the reward as soon as it becomes available, since it will only be redeemable for a limited period (which has not been specified). Registered players will receive an email notifying them about the launch of Sonic Rumble and instructions on how to claim the prize.
Sonic Rumble is described by Sega as the first multiplayer title in the series, featuring battles with up to 32 players.
