Sony May Stop Bringing Major Single-Player PlayStation Games to PC
Sony decided to follow Microsoft’s strategy by releasing many major PlayStation games on PC. Thanks to this change, big exclusives such as The Last of Us, God of War, and Horizon arrived on the platform. However, a new rumor suggests that this strategy could change.
According to Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier, Sony is considering not releasing its most important single-player PlayStation games on PC in the future. This would include established franchises as well as new single-player titles. Multiplayer games and titles based on a live service model would not be affected by this possible change.
Major Single-Player Titles Could Stay Exclusive

If this rumor turns out to be true, several upcoming releases could remain exclusive to PlayStation consoles. These may include a new Ghost of Yotei, Marvel’s Wolverine, a possible The Last of Us Part III, and other single-player titles from Sony’s classic franchises.
There is no official confirmation of this information, and it is reasonable to question it. Sony initially brought its games to PC to increase revenue and recover the high development costs of its AAA titles more quickly. Still, returning to a stronger exclusive model would restore more value to the PlayStation console itself.
With Microsoft facing challenges in the console market, this possible change in strategy could make more sense. Microsoft has moved in the opposite direction, releasing its exclusives not only on PC but also on rival consoles. This approach may reduce the value of Xbox as a platform.
Sony, on the other hand, could choose to strengthen PlayStation by keeping its biggest single-player titles exclusive once again. For now, everything remains speculation until the company provides official confirmation.
