Here’s the full lineup for January:

- Core Keeper – PS4 and PS5
These games will remain available until February 2, after which they’ll be replaced by the next Essential tier lineup.
Are the January PS Plus Essential Games Worth It?
Let’s start with Need for Speed Unbound, the latest entry in EA’s legendary racing series developed by Criterion Games. Set in the vibrant city of Lakeshore, the game blends high-speed street racing with a bold graffiti-inspired art style, creating a unique and instantly recognizable look.
The story mode focuses on climbing the ranks in the world of underground racing — every win earns money to upgrade your car and prepare for the ultimate event. Players can customize every detail of their vehicles, from engine tuning to visual mods. Online races add even more excitement, allowing players to compete in dedicated events and playlists.
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a modern remake of the beloved 2010 platformer originally released on the Wii. This updated version features enhanced graphics, smoother animations, and refined controls while keeping the original’s charm intact.
Finally, Core Keeper offers a top-down sandbox adventure set in a vast underground world filled with secrets, resources, and dangerous creatures. Players awaken beside an ancient energy core and must explore procedurally generated caves, gather materials, and build their base deep below the surface. With a blend of crafting, farming, combat, and exploration, the game can be played solo or cooperatively with up to eight players.
