Sony Reveals PlayStation Plus Free Games for December 2018

PlayStation Plus Free Games Lineup

December is still a few days away, but Sony has a surprise in store for PlayStation Plus subscribers. For the last month of the year PlayStation 4 gamers will be able to play SOMA and Onrush.  As for PlayStation 3, Steredenn and Steinsgate will be available. Lastly, PlayStation Vita players will be getting Iconoclasts (crossbuy with PS4) and Papers, Please.

SOMA is a multi-award winning survival sci-fi horror game from Frictional Games. Horror game fans will recognize the developer immediately as the same creators of the legendary horror series Amnesia and Penumbra. The game originally came out back in 2015, but it is definitely worth experiencing for those who have not played it yet.

In case you are not a horror fan, Onrush should provide a more fun experience. The arcade game only came out in June this year. Furthermore, it is made by the notable racing developers at Codemasters. The same UK-based company who makes the F1, GRID and DiRT racing series games.

These games will be available from December 4th through January 1st, 2019. For now, PlayStation Plus subscribers have access to Bulletstorm and Yakuza Kiwami.

What is the Sony PlayStation Plus Anyway?

PlayStation Plus is a paid-for PlayStation Network subscription service which provides access to premium features. This of course includes monthly free games. Furthermore, subscribers have early access to upcoming games, beta trials, regular store discounts and automatic software updates.

Users can pay for a monthly subscription of £6.99 per month, or opt for £19.99 for three months (£6.66 per month). There is also an annual plan which costs £49.99 a year (£4.17 per month).
