Sony Reveals Two Limited-Edition GTA 6 DualSense Controllers, Pre-Orders Open September 10
Although there were no rumors or leaks suggesting it, the possibility that Sony and Rockstar Games would decide to make a limited-edition Grand Theft Auto 6 PlayStation 5 controller was real. And it was the Japanese company itself that officially announced it during the September 2026 State of Play.
We are talking not about one, but two DualSense controllers created especially by Sony for the highly anticipated game arriving on November 19, 2026.
GTA 6 Limited-Edition DualSense Controllers
It is a PlayStation 5 controller that mainly stands out because of the style of its lower plastic section, the part that surrounds the analog sticks and part of the grips. As seen in the video, it has a special glittery purple finish that reacts to light, creating special color effects. The rest of the controller is white or black depending on the edition chosen, with the game’s logo on the touchpad and other small details on both grips that look like palm leaves.
Both limited-edition controllers will be available to pre-order starting September 10, 2026, at a price of $84.99 and will arrive on store shelves at the same time as GTA 6, meaning they will be available from November 19.
At the moment, we do not know whether both versions will be available to pre-order at all stores or whether, as happened with the Marvel’s Wolverine controller, one of the two versions will be exclusive to PlayStation Direct, the official store.
