Recently various pieces of information had been leaked surrounding the specs of the upcoming PS5 Pro which has caused a small stir in the console gaming side of the industry both for gamers and at Sony who are now investigating where these leaks came from.
Tom Henderson, behind the original article at Insider Gaming surrounding this leak recently made a Tweet in regards to the leaks of the PS5 Pro. The tweet claims that Sony has launched an “internal investigation” into the leaked documents which were said to have leaked during a third-party rollout. Henderson doesn’t see Sony being able to pinpoint exactly who was behind the leak, but does suspect that Sony will reduce their third-party developer pool for new technology following this leak.
Sony is fully aware that leaks can happen, but due to the fact that this leak basically contains all of the specs of this console they’ve been pushed into an investigation. Sony hasn’t officially confirmed these specs but judging by this reaction we can safely assume they’re fairly accurate to what we’ll be receiving come launch day.
Well, at least it’s not as bad as the Xbox leak from last year.
