Ahead of this month’s Mobile World Congress event Sony is rumoured to be preparing a brand new Xperia handset. From the looks alone we can see this new handset, expected to be called the Xperia G, is imitating the Xperia Z1 with that same sleek design that has made the Xperia flagships so popular. However, getting under the hood and the phone probably won’t be that dissimilar from the current budget favourite the Moto G. So far the expected specifications are 1GB of RAM, a 4.8 inch display, 8GB of storage, an 8MP rear camera and LTE support.
Only time will tell if the Xperia G does materialise, so stay tuned for the latest developments from MWC 2013. What we all want to know is if the Xperia G does come to fruition what will its price tag be? Surely if Sony wants to make the Xperia G popular competitive pricing of around $200 or less will be needed.
