Performance

The included software is nicely laid out and allows you to quickly adjust all major settings such as colour themes, button layouts, profile names, macro functions etc.

The sensor sensitivity can be calibrated per profile for both X and Y axis over four settings which can be toggled through via a mouse shortcut. Should you wish you can also change the polling rate and the rapid fire speed… people still use rapid fire?

The mouse lights up with a powerful array of LED’s and looks rather nice. The only thing’s I don’t like about it are that the plastic is too thin on the back of the mouse (I mentioned this earlier) and this causes the mouse to glow, making the plastics looks cheap, rather then just illuminate the pre-defined clear areas that are meant to be back lit.

Despite the off glow, the colours are great and it does offer some customisation to suit your gaming setup and preferences.

Overall performance of the mouse was rather good, if I’m honest I was expecting it to perform below average, but my testing showed that the sensor had no positive or negative acceleration and a super low lift-off height of around 1mm.

Gaming was a joy thanks to the responsive mouse buttons and easy to use macro configurations, the rapid fire feature does work ok, but I found no real world benefit to having it enabled in any of the titles I play.

Battlefield, League of Legends and a few hours on Skyrim left me with a good impression of the sensor and the button layout, it’s nice to use and the sensor was faultless throughout. The only issue I have are ergonomic. I have large hands, but they’re not uncommonly large by any measure. Yet the right side ergonomics of the mouse didn’t provide enough width on the two finger rests for my liking, surprising given the mouses overall size. The right side of my palm also didn’t fit the curve of the back of the mouse very well and while it wasn’t uncomfortable it felt like the mouse was the wrong shape for most of the time I spent using it.
