Ubisoft has released a free demo of Star Wars Outlaws, allowing players to experience up to three hours of gameplay featuring Kay Vess. This demo is available on all platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. But that’s not all. The company also accidentally revealed the release date for the upcoming DLC, A Pirate’s Fortune.
Where to Play the Free Demo
The free demo is available now on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, on PS5 through the PlayStation Store, and on Xbox Series X|S via the Xbox Store. According to the demo description, players can explore the planet Tatooine, face the Hutt Cartel, fight Tusk Raiders, and even engage in space combat. As mentioned, you can play for up to three hours. However, any progress made will not carry over, so if you choose to buy the game later, you’ll have to start over.
The First Details About A Pirate’s Fortune DLC
Regarding the A Pirate’s Fortune DLC, Ubisoft accidentally posted a trailer that revealed the release date—May 15. Although the trailer was quickly removed, the information has already spread online. The trailer description also gave a synopsis of this new adventure:
“Embark on a mysterious adventure with Kay and Nix to explore the Khepi system and learn what it takes to be a true leader.”
“Team up with legendary pirate Hondo Ohnaka and face off against Stinger Tash and her Rokana Raiders as you infiltrate the Khepi Tomb to uncover the secrets and hidden treasures it holds. Along the way, you’ll discover the Miyuki Trade League who offer new rewards for the Trailblazer in exchange for smuggling dangerous goods across the galaxy.”
As part of the update, along with A Pirate’s Fortune, all players will receive cosmetic items inspired by Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. These will include an outfit for Nix, a Trophy for the speeder, and a Trinket for both the speeder and Trailblazer. The gift will appear in the delivery box on the Trailblazer once the update is downloaded and installed.
