Stealth presents new rugged fanless mini PC

Stealth.com Inc., manufacturer of industrial rugged computer and peripherals, have launched a new model to their lineup with the LPC-125LPFM.

While the name is not as catchy, this rugged fanless mini PC is made to be used industrially for mobile, in-vehicle or embedded applications.

Breaking most of today’s standard for small PC, the LPC (for short) measures only 117 x 155 x 52mm for a weigh of only 0.54kg (that is 4.6”x6.1”x2” and 1.2lbs). Not only is it small, but the temperature range is wider than you’d think, from -10 to +45C (14 to 113F) while working in complete silence without the use of cooling fans and operates with just under 20 watts of power operating from 10-26V DC power, helping the mobility factor of this new PC.

“The LPC-125LPFM is the smallest fanless PC we have offered to date. The rugged chassis, wide operating temperatures, DC voltage input and our smart power interface for controlled system start-up and shut-down makes it ideal for embedded, field and in-vehicle computing apps,” said Ed Boutilier, Stealth CEO.

Powered by Intel’s D525 Pineview Dual Core clocked at 1.8GHz, the LPC presents a large amount of performance for this low powered and space saving PC for in-vehicle applications.

Connectivity is very wide for such a small PC and is built directly into the design; Gigabit LAN, 3 USB ports, 2 Serial ports, Video, Audio In/Out and 2 PS/2. Additional features include a Mini-PCIe card slot, up to 4GB of DDR3 SODIMM memory and a rear locking DC power connector to secure the power in place.

As for storage, the standard version comes with 55GB of SSD memory, this time allowing the resistance to temperature changes, vibration and shocks, although is those are not a concern, the same configuration can be changed for a 2.5” mobile hard drive with capacities of up to 750GB.

Compatible with Windows 7, XP and Linux, it’s perfect for application requiring a good amount of power while being challenged for the space.

The new LPC-125LPFM is shipping now for the base price $895.00.
