Steam is celebrating 20 years of Steam after its original launch on September 12 2003.
Yesterday marked Steam’s 20th Anniversary which is definitely going to make some of you feel old, especially if you have 19 years of service on your account, much higher than my small 8 years. To celebrate the Steam store has gone back to its original army green colours and has created a walk down memory lane from each year from 2003 to 2023.
With this anniversary, all Valve games are currently discounted including the original Half Life games, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, Portal down to under £1 meaning there is no excuse if you haven’t played them yet, and Half Life Alyx is £16.99. Additionally, the Call of Duty franchise is having a 20-year sale which I’d presume is linked as the 20th anniversary for Call of Duty isn’t until next month on October 29th. Unfortunately, that sale is not as good as Valves as almost all of the games including Call of Duty 2 which was released in 2005 are still over £10.
