How Much Does it Cost?

I’ll admit that at £159.99 the SteelSeries Arctis 7P Wireless Gaming Headset isn’t cheap. However, when you consider that it has an incredible 24-hour battery life and flawless wireless tech, it’s already looking like a great deal. Throw in support for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, PC, Mobile, and just about anything really that has a 3.5mm jack or USB port. It really is exceptional value for money in the grand scheme of things.

Overview

SteelSeries has knocked it out of the park with their latest headset. Albeit, that’s not hard, as they knocked it out of the park with their previous flagships and they’ve not really changed much beyond the colour and a few buttons. But hey, if you’re already one of the best, don’t change the formula, as you’re likely to screw it up.

Sound Quality

This is about one of the finest sounding headsets on the market today. It actually sounds as good as the Hi-Res flagships from SteelSeries that cost a fair bit more, and it’s just that the drivers are so on point no matter what you throw at them. A good gaming headset shouldn’t just makes games sound good, it should be a good headset or set of headphones full stop. From from Classical to Cannibal Corpse, music sounds phenomenally balanced and impactful. Gaming explosions hit hard, and environments are detailed. It’s getting a 10/10 from me, and we don’t even do these things with numbers here.

Build Quality

Again, SteelSeries score top marks, as this is one very well made headset. What plastics it does feature are exceptionally well finished. The pure white finish, the light textures to the surfaces, and the bold contrast of the black fittings and fixtures all give it that premium quality look and feel. It’s a heavier headset too, but only in the way that it feels like a well made product. To wear, it feels perfectly balanced and comfortable. Overall, very impressive for something that packs all its batteries and amps in the same unit.

Should I Buy One?

This is going down as one of the best headsets of 2020, no doubt about it. Incredible aesthetics and build quality, impressive multi-format support, and sensational wireless performance and sound quality. From this gen to the next-gen, The Arctis 7P is going to make a solid addition to your collection.
