Stellar Blade Has Sold Over 6 Million Copies Across PS5 and PC, According to Estimates
According to estimates from Sensor Tower, Stellar Blade has surpassed 6 million copies sold across PS5 and PC. Specifically, the action game developed by Shift Up has reached approximately 3.7 million copies sold on Sony’s console and 2.4 million on Steam.
Launched on PS5 in April 2024, Stellar Blade quickly became one of the most successful hack-and-slash titles, ranking fourth in console sales. It performed especially well in the United States, where 33% of players are located. Moreover, 57% of its audience are classified as hardcore gamers — players who own more than one hundred titles in their libraries.
A Strong PC Launch and Exceptional Reception
The PC version debuted in June 2025, selling about 2.4 million copies and generating more than 100 million dollars in revenue. On Steam, Stellar Blade became the top-selling hack-and-slash game both in sales volume and total earnings.
On Valve’s platform, the title also received outstanding player feedback — 94.2% of user reviews are positive, a figure far above the genre average. This confirms the high quality and strong reputation of Stellar Blade among players worldwide.
Stellar Blade also achieved the best launch for a former PlayStation exclusive on PC. Shift Up’s multiplatform strategy worked remarkably well, as 52% of Steam players came from China — a market where PlayStation consoles have a much smaller presence.
This move allowed the studio to reach a wider global audience while boosting sales of the PS5 version at the same time. As a result, daily active players increased significantly, securing Stellar Blade’s position as one of the most successful action titles in recent years.
