eBay is full of scams, it doesn’t take long to find a bunch of cruel people selling the box for their console, tv or smartphone at the price of the new product, hoping someone won’t notice the difference. Even now, there are several Xbox One consoles listed at *box only* at a price of £500 and beyond, but of course, there is no console, it clearly says so in many of the titles, people are just hoping someone buys it before they’ve had their morning coffee.
Now someone has done one of the worst we’ve seen in a while, a user has paid nearly £500 for an Xbox One Image, and of course that is exactly what he got, a picture of the Xbox One and a pretty crap one at that.
The eBay seller listed the item in “consoles” not in “images” so it is pretty obvious what he was trying to do. The 19 year old student got the item on eBay for him and his 4 year old son.
The buyer got ripped off and didn’t even get a decent image for his money, the seller even had the audacity to write “Thank You” on the back of the poorly printed image!
Moral of this story, don’t dump a load of cash on something without reading the basic information of the listing in its entirety. Or just like this customer, you are going to end up looking a complete idiot.
