Super Mario Bros 64 Rom Hack Released For Free Online

Super Mario Bros 64

Seeing ROM hacks for Mario games, or indeed any Nintendo classic is hardly unusual. For those unaware of the term, this is essentially where existing assets from a game are taken and ‘jumbled up’ to create an entirely new experience. In the case of Super Mario Bros. 64, however, we do have something with a little more polish than usual.

The game, which looks to combine the NES and N64 Mario titles has just been released and better still, you can download it for free!

What Do You Get?

The work that has gone into this is clearly evident. For example, it provides the classic 2D side-scrolling action with 3D elements. In addition, with 30 new levels, you also get to pick from 4 characters, each of which presents a change in difficulty based on their abilities. Wario is, however, only recommend for those who want an “unfair” experience.

Where Can I Get It?

The game is available to download right now. Better still, it’s 100% free. Nintendo may, of course, have something to say about this. As such, if you want your copy you might want to get it sooner rather than later. That being said though, despite Nintendo’s rather terse nature for projects of this type, ROM hacks are usually capable of ‘skirting’ this problem.

The internet (uh) finds a way!

You can check out Kaze (the creator of the hack) YouTube channel via the link here!

Additionally, you can download the game via the link here! – As always, however, any downloads you make, you do so at your own risk.
