The trailer for the Nintendo Switch 2 has outperformed the PlayStation 5 reveal on YouTube. Within 48 hours of its release on the official Nintendo of America channel, the trailer amassed over 17 million views. In comparison, the PlayStation 5 trailer, released in 2020, garnered approximately 13.3 million views in the same timeframe. However, the original Nintendo Switch trailer remains the most-watched, with 19.5 million views in its first two days.
The PlayStation 5 reveal trailer has since accumulated 44 million views and 1.6 million likes over nearly five years. Meanwhile, in less than 48 hours, the Nintendo Switch 2 trailer has already reached nearly one million likes.
On social media platform X, the response has been even more remarkable. The trailer achieved over 40 million views on Nintendo of America’s profile and more than 51 million views on Nintendo of Japan’s profile.
These impressive figures suggest a strong start for Nintendo Switch 2. More details, including the release date, price, and launch games, are expected to be unveiled during the Nintendo Direct event scheduled for April 2.
