Tactical Mech Action Game DUAL GEAR Delayed

The release of the Indiegogo funded tactical turn-based action mech game Dual Gear has been delayed until 2018, according to an official press release sent out by Orbital Speed Studios, an indie game company out of Bangkok, Thailand headed by veteran game developer Pongpat Pongsakorntorn.

Dual Gear completed its Indiegogo funding in October 2016, reaching 226% of its original goal and raising over $21,038 USD. The game draws obvious inspiration from previous Japanese mech games in style and design such as the Front Mission series. It uses the Unreal 4 Engine and lets users customize each mech, structure the group and level up each pilot.

Since it is using the Unreal 4 Engine, it does not have stringent system requirements for the PC, requiring only at least an AMD Phenom X4 or Intel Q6600 CPU with 4GB of RAM and an AMD 7750 or NVIDIA 550Ti GPU. The game is also intended to be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For now however, players can only try it out with the Pre-Alpha demo.

This is the official statement issued by Orbital Speed Studios on their website:

After launched the crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo from the first quarter of 2016, DUAL GEARĀ  still going on the developments to the latest version on Closed-Alpha 0.90.4 right now.

After launched the Pre-Alpha version for PC version on 2016 and now is Closed Alpha with the version above, The game has received a lot of feedback and critics that from all Alpha tester, which makes the developer know how the game should be and need to improve more. A lot of things in the game have changed with any Alpha tester opinion and helping the developer to made the game better. With so many factors the game still need more times in the development and change a time of release to 2018

However, the date and the quarters to release, still not decided but during the development time, the developer has a plan to show up the game on any events in the world in this year. The next stop DUAL GEAR will show up the game at Kyoto on 20-21 This May on the BitSummit Event(Kyoto Indie Festival 2017) with a ton of Japanese Indie Game developer and look to seeking feedback from Japan again!
