Tech MAX EXPO 2025: Our First Visit to the UK’s Biggest B2B Tech Event
Recently, eTeknix had the exciting opportunity to attend the Tech MAX EXPO 2025. While you may or may not have heard of this trade show, it is still a relatively new and a B2B thing. That means it’s not open to the general public, but it gives an opportunity for brands, retail stores, suppliers, media and more to get together and talk shop, do some deals, and see what hot new products are both on the market or coming soon.

As a leading B2B trade show dedicated to the UK’s vibrant technology sector, Tech MAX was held earlier this week (June 27th, 2025), at the impressive MAGNA Science Adventure Centre in Sheffield/Rotherham. I’d never been to Sheffield before, despite only living in Leeds myself, but it was a good opportunity to get Andy out of his eTeknix HQ to visit the North, nor was the North as grim as he often expects, which is a welcome bonus. But being our first visit to Tech Max, we were suitably impressed by this growing part of the UK tech scene, and it was a much bigger show than we expected, too.
The Tech MAX EXPO, hosted by Tech For Techs Group, serves as a crucial platform for IT professionals here in the UK. Given many of the trade shows the UK media and brands visit are in Las Vegas, Taiwan, Germany and many other places, there’s definitely a different vibe when we can all meet relatively locally. It gives an opportunity to bring the tech community together, as many brick-and-mortar retail stores and independent retailers often don’t have the opportunity to see these brands at international events, either due to time, for financial reasons or quite simply the distance.

The event proved a great place for showcasing cutting-edge products, services, and solutions that are shaping the future of technology here in the UK. While we haven’t attended in previous years, we’re well informed that it has continued to grow each year, and we can only imagine it’s going to be bigger and better next year, and we’re eager to attend in the future too.
During our visit, we were particularly impressed by the diverse range of brands and companies on display, highlighting the breadth and depth of the UK tech landscape. Some of the notable brands and partners we encountered included major distributors such as Target Components. There were brands there, such as DeepCool, Cooler Master, Antec, be quiet!, Seagate, ASUS, Gigabyte, FSP, Seasonic, UGREEN, Lexar, and many more. Plus, a wide range of software and solution companies, such as Norton, Milestone3D, RecommerceIT, and many more.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to talk to every brand that was there, but as I said, the size of the hall was surprisingly large, accommodating around 80 companies, plus many more who were simply visiting on their own, retailers from around the country visiting, etc. Plus, having a bar for refreshments, a PC mod showcase, a gaming arena, and plenty of options for food throughout the day, we certainly had a great time. This was promptly followed by a fantastic evening of more food, drink, a superb award ceremony, and music in the evening too.

Our first experience at the Tech MAX EXPO was exceptionally positive. This event is a cornerstone for the UK tech industry. We look forward to seeing how it continues to evolve and grow in the years to come.
