Technicolor Game Sound Services Group Completes Work On Halo 4

Technicolor’s Game Sound Services group is proud to announce its work on ‘Halo 4′, one of the most anticipated video games of 2012. In one of the largest game sound projects undertaken by the team to date, Technicolor provided its client 343 Industries with an impressive breadth of services.

Work included sound design by the multitalented staff at Technicolor’s Olive Avenue facility in Burbank, where Mark Jasper mixed the game’s cinematics. Foley was shot at Technicolor’s facility on the Paramount lot. The Burbank team also handled voice recording in the studio and on the motion capture stage, dialogue editing, casting services, mixing international versions in 11 languages, and a wide variety of other support tasks.

“We were thrilled to partner with 343 to help them create their game,” says Tom Hays, Technicolor’s Director of Game Sound Services. “Having a chance to work closely with this deeply professional team, and bring what we do best to such a classic franchise that we all love so much, was really an incredible opportunity.”

Halo 4 will be released on November 6th, exclusively on Xbox 360.

The “Halo” franchise is an award-winning collection of properties that has grown into a global entertainment phenomenon. Beginning with the original “Halo: Combat Evolved” (2001), the critically acclaimed and record-shattering series of games has since inspired multiple New York Times bestselling novels, comic books, action figures, apparel and more.

Published by Microsoft Studios, the “Halo” franchise of games is exclusive to the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system and the Xbox LIVE online entertainment network. To date, more than 43 million copies of “Halo” games have been sold worldwide, driving more than 3.3 billion hours of gameplay by people connected to Xbox LIVE.
