Tesoro Kuven Headset Angel Edition Review

Final Thoughts

Price

$69.99 / €69.99 is hardly cheap, but this does fall in line with the competition given the relative specifications and performance we have seen here today. At the time of writing there are no UK retailers for the headset as it is fairly new to market, but we are sure a quick Google will turn up results soon enough.

Conclusion

I think it’s pretty clear at this point that the Kuven have favoured well in this review, performance was great, build quality is solid, design is fantastic and the price is competitive, what more could you really ask for from a product?

The fit of the headset is just as important as the performance, especially on a gaming headset where you could be wearing the things for hours on end as you get lost in endless games of CounterStrike, or spend hour after hour on League of Legends. I was worried the strange shape would lead to uneven pressure distribution on my ears and head, but that really wasn’t the case and the headset is one of the most comfortable I’ve tested. The padding is soft and forgiving, the only downside is that in a warm environment there is little room for your ears to get cool air.

Sound quality is great across the board and when it doesn’t sound quite right its super easy to configure to your liking. This is helped even further by the multitude of cables provided, ensuring maximum compatibility for your system or media choice.

Build quality is rock solid throughout and the use of the aluminium panels on the back of the drivers looks fantastic. This plays off the design really nicely and having the choice of the white Angel edition or the black Devil edition is great, especially since they both look stunning.

Pros

  • Unique design and shape
  • Robust build quality
  • Choice of black or white construction
  • Great stereo and virtual surround performance
  • Comfortable
  • Competitive price
  • Braided and modular cables

Cons

  • Microphone could be better and detachable

“Performance, style, build quality and a competitive price makes the Kuven a complete set and you couldn’t ask for much more when looking for a headset. It is versatile overall, but given that gaming is where it shines the most, I feel its more than worthy of our Games Choice Award.”
