The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition Hits Shelves Today

Today, Bethesda Softworks is releasing their final installation of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition. It has been just under 2 years since Skyrim was released, bringing us the epic gaming experience on November 11, 2011. Though they announced that they were not going to continue working on Skyrim, and they would be working on their “next adventure”. Bethesda is bringing forth their Legendary Edition of Skyrim, which will be just that. Offering us the full game, as well as all three of their expansion packs, Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn.

The game will have the most up-to-date version of the original game, version 1.9.

While playing Skyrim you will get to play the next chapter of the Elder Scrolls saga. Live another life, in another world, allowing you to play many different types of characters. With Skyrim, you get an all new graphics engine and gameplay engine. With hundreds of abilities, spells and weapons, you get to play the way you want to play!

PC users get the opportunity to take advantage of the Steam Workshop, as well as Creation Kit, allowing you to bring to life your hearts desire of awesome new Armor, Dungeons and Quests. Even a beginner modder will be able to take advantage of these valuable resources.

Hearthfire: This expansion allows you to purchase land and build your own home from the ground up. You get to choose your land, customize your home and you get new objectives and interactions, also you get the ability to adopt children.

Dragonborn: With this expansion you no longer serve dragons, but you get to devour them. You face the first Dragon Born. Exploring beyond Skyrim, traveling to the costal island of Solstheim. You also get to become the Ultimate Dragonborn, gaining new powers, discovering new abilities! As well as getting to explore new dungeons.

Dawnguard: With Vampire Lord Harkon returning to power, you are given the choice to either stop him, or becoming a Vampire Lord yourself. Bringing the new faction questline. This expansion brings new weapons, armor, spells and shouts. Giving you the ability to become a Vampire Lord. Additional perks as a Werewolf. New locations and creatures. And you can change your appearance.

Now for the important part, the price.

PS3 and Xbox will have an MSRP of $59.99 / £39.99 / €49.99 / AU$69.95.

PC versions are slightly cheaper in some regions, $59.99 / £29.99 / €39.99 / AU$49.95.
