The Legend of Zelda Movie Has Been Delayed
The release of the much-anticipated The Legend of Zelda movie has been postponed by a few weeks. Originally set for release on March 26, 2027, the film will now hit theaters on May 7, 2027.
A Delay for Perfection
Shigeru Miyamoto, the famous creator of Zelda, shared the news through a post on Nintendo’s social media. “For production reasons, we are changing the release date of the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda to May 7, 2027,” Miyamoto said. “It will be some weeks later than the release timing we originally announced, and we will take the extra time to make the film as good as it can be. Thank you for your patience!”
The delay may also be influenced by the postponement of other big films, especially Avengers: Secret Wars, which was moved from May 2027 to December of the same year.
An Ambitious Project
After the huge success of Super Mario Bros. The Movie, Nintendo is eager to bring more of its famous franchises to the big screen. However, the Legend of Zelda movie is a much more complex and risky project.
From casting to adapting the story, everything needs to be perfect to avoid disappointing the massive fanbase that has high expectations for this film.
