Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 Digital CPU Cooler Series Launches

Thermalright has announced an upgraded version of its popular Phantom Spirit 120 air cooler. The new Phantom Spirit 120 Digital series introduces a magnetically attached digital top cover that displays real-time system information, making it easier to keep an eye on your PC’s vitals. Available in two colour options, the Phantom Spirit 120 Digital SNOW (white) and the Phantom Spirit 120 Digital EVO (black), the new coolers build upon the already impressive performance of their predecessors.
A Familiar Design with a Smart Twist
The new models retain the dual fin-stack design and seven 6 mm nickel-plated copper heat pipes that made the original Phantom Spirit 120 so effective. The cooler is rated for a 275 W TDP and offers broad compatibility with both modern Intel and AMD platforms, including Intel LGA115X/1200/1700/1851 and AMD AM4/AM5 sockets.
However, the real showstopper here is the digital top plate. This small display can simultaneously monitor your processor’s temperature and load, along with your graphics card’s temperature and load. The display connects via either a motherboard 9-pin or a standard USB port, allowing it to pull the necessary data to show you what’s happening inside your system without needing a separate monitoring application on screen.

Fans and Specifications
The Phantom Spirit 120 Digital series comes bundled with two TL-K12W fans. These 120 mm fans feature S-FDB V2 bearings and can operate at speeds up to 2,150 RPM. They are capable of pushing up to 69 CFM of airflow at 2.87 mm H₂O static pressure, all while keeping noise levels to a maximum of 27 dBA. For those who like a bit of flair, the fans also include ARGB lighting on the inner frame.

What We Think
The Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 is already popular, and for good reason. It offers competitive cooling performance that rivals some of the more expensive air coolers on the market, all at an affordable price. The addition of the digital display is a welcome feature that brings a new level of convenience and aesthetic appeal. Of course, they’re not the first to put a digital display on top of a cooler, they’re quite common now. However, a price of about $49 is expected, but we’ll have to wait for official UK pricing to see if it remains a competitive option.
Where to Buy
As of writing, official store availability for the Phantom Spirit 120 Digital is not yet known. We’ll be keeping a close eye on retailers for its arrival. The cooler comes with a 3-year warranty for peace of mind. Of course, you can check out the product pages for the new coolers here, and here.
