Thermaltake announces Toughpower Silver Series power supplies

The well known computer component producers Thermaltake have come up with a new range of power supplies for the high end market. Four power supplies which will all have silver 80 plus certification and be part of the Toughpower range. They come in large wattages only; 1000W, 1200W, 1350W and 1500W. The reason behind this new range of products is to take the existing bronze certified Toughpower range of PSUs and make them; more efficient, quieter and more stable.

The efficiency is consistently above 80% between 20-100% load and at optimal efficiency it gets as high as 91%. Offering an impressive 8 PCI-E connectors (6+2 pin) you can support up to a quad graphics card configuration so this really does support the highest end gaming system. The power supplies are also Nvidia SLI certified for peace of mind. In addition to supporting multi-GPU systems it also supports up to two processor systems with enough 4 and 8 pin CPU power connectors for that which also allows Thermaltake to aim at the server grade market. The Japanese solid state capacitors also operate at 40 degrees or lower when at 100% load so you’ll be guaranteed reliability and low temperatures for the high level of efficient wattage you get.
