Build Process

Starting off simple, we need to attach the five casters to the legs of the chair, how you go about this is simple, you just push them into the holes on the bottom of the legs. But do be careful on this step as the fitment is very tight and a lot of force is required to get the casters to go in the holes.

Step two is another easy one, all you need to do is slot the gas lift into the central hole of the legs.

The next step is another easy one, at least in theory. What you need to do here is use the three screws to attach the backrest to the seat. What makes this a little tricky is trying to align the two parts so that you can actually screw them together. This could be made easier by using the box as a place to rest the parts, but the box is massive, and I had already thrown it away at this point, so I had enough room to build the chair.

You’ll have to excuse the out-of-order photo here, as it is just for demonstrative purposes. The final step of the build process is to place the gas lift into this hole on the bottom of the chair. I found that this was easiest with some assistance from a friend.

And now we’re done, the chair is built, so take a moment to step back and admire your hard work.

Finished Build

The front of the chair is pretty sleek, there is a definite racing chair inspiration here.

From the sides, we can see even more of that racing chair inspiration, even down to the car door handles on either side, I will come back to these and explain further.

From the back, we can see that this is one large piece, meaning breaks are pretty fatal to the chair as this piece does a large percentage of the structural work of the chair.

Overall, the design is very unique, there really is nothing quite like it. In the office, the impression of it was pretty unanimous, everyone thought the same thing, it looks like it belongs to an evil genius. In fact, multiple of us all slowly span around in it while pretending to pet a cat and saying “I’ve been expecting you”.
