To remove the top panel of the case we must first remove three thumbscrews from the rear of the case before sliding it off. As the A30 features a removable motherboard tray, the side panels are fixed in position.
Removing the motherboard tray is very simple, requiring us to remove five further thumbscrews. It can then be slid out of the case using the small latch at the bottom.
The motherboard tray has all the features we would usually expect. The motherboard standoffs are preinstalled for Micro ATX motherboards to facilitate installation. The two 60mm exhaust fans are also attached to the motherboard tray.
We find the external drive bay caddy located at the front of the case. To take out the drive bay caddy, there are two further thumbscrews which must be removed. The drive bay caddy has space for two 5.25” drives and a single 3.5” (external) drive. There are also mountings for two SSDs on the top of the caddy.
After the external drive bay caddy has been removed, we can remove the internal 3.5” drive bay caddy. This supports up to two 3.5” hard drives.
