The Thermaltake CT120 ARGB fans are available now in a choice of black or white without RGB, and the same again with ARGB lighting. They’re sold in packs of two and they’re competitively priced for the overall features and quality on offer too.
Thermaltake is on a winning streak lately, with some really killer-looking PC cases, power supplies, CPU coolers and now, of course, fans too. It’s certainly good to see them hit some design cues throughout their latest range too, everything looks like a set now. Of course, since these are the same fans they’re putting in their latest PC cases too, adding these to your build isn’t going to look out of place.
Of course, as good as these will look in a Thermaltake case, they’ll look great in almost any case really. They’re just good quality competitively priced fans. I like that they’re doing both 120mm and 140mm versions too, so you can easily find the ones that best suit your requirements. However, the addition of both black and white is nice also. And the obvious conclusion of this paragraph, I also like that they have both ARGB and no-LED versions. I do love ARGB lighting, but actually, more often I find myself doing builds with absolutely zero LEDs in them recently, so it’s great to have a choice.
The daisy chain feature of these fans is nice, it cuts down on the number of headers required on the motherboard size. The only weak point is that those ARGB headers suck, often pulling apart while you’re trying to do your cable routing. However, Thermaltake addresses this with the little plastic cover that holds them in place. It’s a little detail, but it really makes a difference. They even include both long screws and short screws, so you can mount it in a wide variety of configurations, on radiators and more.
I really can’t fault these fans, they’re very well made, easy to set up, available in sizes and colours to suit just about any configuration, and can be used in cases, or on radiators too. While this doesn’t count on the LED-free version, the ARGB lighting is also very attractive, with easy customisation, vibrant colours, and loads of effects to play around with. Plus, best of all, the prices are very competitive for a top-name brand.
