Thermaltake Goes Old School With New Retro Style 260 & 360 TG PC Cases

Thermaltake is taking us on a take a trip down memory lane with the launch of its new Retro Series. This collection focuses on a very 90’s style approach, reinterpreting the classic aesthetics of early home computing for the modern PC builder. The lineup consists of two main models: the Retro 260 TG Micro Tower and the Retro 360 TG Mid-Tower. Both cases swap out the aggressive angles common in today’s market for soft beige tones and vintage-style front panels, while still offering the tempered glass side views that modern PC enthusiasts demand.
The inspiration here is clearly drawn from the simplicity of the first wave of home PCs. By using warmer colour tones and subtle vintage details, Thermaltake has created a chassis that feels familiar yet stands out from the crowd of typical gaming hardware. However, while the exterior might look like it belongs in the nineties, the internals are purely modern, designed to accommodate high-end graphics cards and advanced cooling configurations.
But I love the floppy drive and optical bays on the front, they’re basically fake, but very reminiscent of many of my first PC builds, so I’m all for it! Especially as I’m working on building a retro gaming space at the moment, these would fit in perfectly.

Compact Power with the Retro 260 TG Micro Tower
For those who want to keep their desk space tidy, the Retro 260 TG brings that nostalgic character to a compact Micro-ATX format. The soft beige finish and classic front panel design are the highlights here, but the case is surprisingly capable for its size.
Even with its smaller footprint, the 260 TG is ready for serious hardware. It can house graphics cards up to 370 mm in length and supports a 280 mm radiator for those using liquid cooling. To help with the weight of modern GPUs, a built-in VGA holder is included to keep everything stable. Users can also add an optional 6.0-inch LCD Screen Kit to the front, allowing for real-time system monitoring or custom animations to finish off the build.

Advanced Building in the Thermaltake Retro 360 TG
The larger sibling in the family is the Retro 360 TG Mid-Tower. This model expands on the vintage theme while providing the extra room needed for ATX motherboards and more complex builds. It is particularly well-suited for high-end systems, with enough clearance for graphics cards up to 400 mm long.
Thermaltake has kept modern trends in mind by ensuring the 360 TG is compatible with hidden-connector motherboards from the likes of ASUS, MSI, and GIGABYTE. This makes cable management much simpler and keeps the interior looking clean. The case also features patented rotatable PCI-E slots, giving builders the choice between horizontal or vertical GPU orientations. With support for up to twelve 120 mm fans and multiple 360 mm radiator spots, cooling performance remains a high priority despite the old-school look.
