Thermaltake Level 20 MT ARGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review

Final Thoughts

How Much Does it Cost?

The Thermaltake Level 20 MT ARGB Mid-Tower Tempered Glass Chassis is available now from most major retailers. You can grab one at Amazon for just £89.64, although we have seen it go for as low as £79.99, so best to shop around for the best deals; obviously. Overall, that makes it the most affordable Level 20 chassis on the market right now, with the flagship 20 GT costing £251.43.

Overview

I’ve loved every entry in the Level 20 series so far, and for obvious reasons. However, while some of the other models were just too darn big to be practical for many. Furthermore, they can be pretty expensive too. However, the Level 20 MT is the most compact and affordable to date, and it’s all the better for it. This is the most realistic and practical chassis in the range for most consumers, and with that, I expect it to be hugely popular.

Build Quality

Everything is rock solid here, and Thermaltake has done a fine job of the basics. The core of the chassis is robust and will handle heavy duty systems with ease. Those reinforcing corner posts look fantastic too but also keep things rigid. With tempered glass on the front and sides, the chassis has a nice weight to it too. However, since it’s only a mid-tower, it’s not that heavy overall and quite manageable even with a full system installed.

Ergonomics

Every inch of the chassis is put to good use. If there’s a space, they’ve added cable routing holes, or fan mounts, or HDD mounts, or cable tide hoops, etc. This makes it easy for beginners and pros alike to build the system quickly, cleanly and efficiently. The addition of the PSU shroud is a welcome one, but adding fan mounts, an SSD mount, hidden 3.5″ drive trays, more cable routing and ventilation to it makes it truly fantastic.

RGB

I’m not too big on the RGB rainbow stuff, I set things to one colour and leave it. Of course, with addressable RGB, I can change the colour in my motherboards software, and everything syncs in just a few clicks. It’s a huge benefit, as I only one piece of software for all my lighting. Furthermore, that makes it easier to turn the lights out when required too.

Should I Buy One?

For under a £100, you have a lot of options right now. However, the Level 20 MT can hold its head up high with the best of the best. Thermaltake has a solid reputation and the Level 20 series are endless cool products. Being the most compact and most affordable Level 20 cases yet, it’s very appealing. Of course, with superb style, tempered glass, RGB and much more, it’s sure to be a big hit with many system builders.
