Thermaltake Level 20 RS ARGB Case Review

Complete System

Building a system inside the Level 20 RS ARGB was about as easy as can be. there’s a laughable amount of space in here, you could almost get two whole systems side by side. It’s good for cooling though, as everything has a bit of breathing room, and with those 200mm fans pushing a huge wall of air throughout the case, things will stay cool.

CPU cooler clearance is excellent. I could have even gone with the larger D15S, actually, I can’t think of a big air cooler that wouldn’t fit in here. There’s loads of room at the back, and even more above it. Of course, that’ll also be handy if you’re putting radiators in those spots, as you don’t want them conflicting with your motherboard anyway.

Despite the massive cooler on our AORUS RTX graphics card, it looks pretty small inside the Level 20 RS. The card is quite wide too, but again, that’s not an issue.

Show it Off!

The case is great for RGB lovers though, as there’s just so much room to show off your hardware. I mean, this looks great, but it would look better with a vertical mount. Of course, you can do that, but you’ll need to order a riser cable too, which are typically about £30.

You do get plenty of RGB thrills in the front panel though. Just look at those big and beautiful fans! They’re exploding with colour the moment you turn on the power.

They’re really nice quality fans too, lovely and quiet, and the 200mm design means bigger airflow at lower RPM. However, if you do want to crank these things up, you can, and they’ll move some serious air when you do.

Overall though, a clean build, with tidy cable routing and a layout that allows you to show off every aspect of your build.

With all the glass back in place, the Level 20 RS ARGB looks stunning. What’s surprising though is how muted the lighting is. The mesh is really heavy and tinted, taking a lot of the brightness out of them. The glass is tinted too, which does the same. I actually like this. I don’t want my case to be a laser projector into my room, I want the case to be lit and nothing else, and that’s executed perfectly here.

Of course, because it’s all addressable, you can set it all to your favourite colour and leave it, or even turn it off, the choice is yours!
