Thermaltake has launched their latest Core P5 series chassis’ and called them the Core P5 Tempered Glass Edition Wall-Mount Chassis. The new Core P5 isn’t just available in black either, it also comes in a Snow edition where almost all the part have been coloured snow white.
The chassis now features three 5mm thick tempered glass windows instead of the previous one to the side. Now there’s also two side panels and an additional stainless steel pillar secure mechanism to display and protect the glory of the build.
Beside the above mentioned, the rest stays pretty much the same and the Core P5 allows you to both show off all your precious hardware in a beautiful manner as well as wall mount the chassis to get it out of the way. Just make sure that you mount it properly as the case itself isn’t that light and when you add the additional hardware, it gets quite a load.
It still comes with a fully modular design that allows flexibility for 3-way placement layouts: Wall mount, Horizontal and Vertical. The add-in cards can be mounted in two directions too, horizontal and vertical, and there’s plenty of options for liquid cooling your components.
The case is a mid-tower variant from its capabilities, but you should keep in mind that it’s quite large for that with its 608 x 333 x 570 mm measurements and 18.45 KG weight.
You can add a total of four 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives and either mITX, mATX, or ATX motherboards. It features 8 expansion slots and front accessible USB 3.0 (x2) and USB 2.0 (x2) ports as well as audio for your headset. It uses default ATX-sized power supplies and can hold up to four 120mm or three 140mm fans or a 480mm or 420mm radiator.
Clearance wise, you can install CPU coolers up to 180mm, Add-In cards up to 280mm with reservoir installed ad 320mm without, and a PSU that’s up to 200mm long.
