Thermaltake Reveals Their New Non-Interference Cooler (NiC) Series

Thermaltake are one of the leading brands when it comes to components, and they have some of the industries best coolers, power supplies and chassis products available on the market today, we know this because we’ve had the pleasure of testing many of them, so we’re always happy to hear that the bit T has something new on the way.

Their brand new NiC Series CPU Coolers, the L31 and the L32 incorporate the latest proprietary technology at Thermaltake disposal and their “non-interference cooler” design means that they’re fully compatible with RAM of all kinds, which is great news for those who want ram with ridiculously oversized heat spreaders to help chill their high-end overclocked RAM.

“NiC L31/ NiC L32 solves the problem that high performance RAM and CPU coolers cannot co-exist in the past, it achieves the best RAM clearance allowing user to install high end overclock RAM with coolers with ease.” said Thermaltake in their recent press release.

Three solid Φ 8mm Direct Contact Heat-pipes conduct the heat effectively, and will support up to 160W on the L31 and upto 180W on the L31. Opening on the fins are designed not only for its distinctive looks but also for performance. The opening of the top fin extends to the opening of the bottom fin creating an even dissipation surface. While the slim-looking fan frame is designed to avoid interference with other components on the motherboard achieving a low total height of only 140mm (L32:160mm). Spin speed from 500 – 1800rpm automatically, although an additional fan can be added if you wish.

Everything is tailored towards cool and quiet performance, while maintaining that tight form factor to prevent conflicts with other components. If you’ve got a build that really need that extra space then the NiC could be the perfect cooler for the job. We look forward to checking out what they can really do as soon as we can get hold of samples, stay tuned!
