Thermaltake Riing Duo 12 RGB Premium Edition Fan Kit Review

How Much Do They Cost?

Retailing for a price in the region of £94.99, we would be lying if we said that these fans are inexpensive. When you consider, however, that these are exceptionally premium designs sold in a kit of 3, the price does (based on the initial parts and aspects) actually boil down to something very decent for a product of this quality.

Performance

In terms of airflow and noise output, the Thermaltake Riing Duo 12 fans are a fantastic option! Capable of pushing 42.45 CFM of airflow, the noise levels are remarkably low. Even when all 3 fans are operating. As such, they offer an amazing option for all of those PC builders who value performance and low acoustic levels from their fans.

The main coup de gras from this fan kit, however, has to be the aesthetics. The Riing Duo design takes fan RGB lighting effects to a whole new level. Particularly with the absolutely top-notch manner in which you can control and customize how those 2 LED rings operate. There are, quite frankly, few systems fans that look even half as good as these!

Should I Buy Them?

If you’re in the market for some new system fans or an upgrade on your existing (and presumably disappointing) ones that were supplied with your chassis or cooler, the Thermaltake Riing Duo 12 fan kit provides an amazing option that’ll take the aesthetics to a whole new level!

While on the subject though, we should note that Thermaltake does primarily market this kit as ‘radiator’ replacement fans for your existing AIO system. That being said, however, we see absolutely no reason why you couldn’t use these as general system fans. Who knows, maybe you could use these to replace your boring intake fans at the front of your chassis. I promise you though, whatever you do with these, you will not be disappointed with the results.

Combining amazing performance, stunning visuals, and low noise output, Thermaltake calls this fan kit release a premium-level design, and, based on what we’ve seen here, we simply can’t disagree!

Pros

  • Amazing RGB lighting effects
  • A huge array of customizable features to get these running exactly how you want them
  • Excellent airflow with low levels of noise output
  • Arguably one of the best (overall) fan kits currently available on the market!

Cons

  • None

Neutral

  • Price level is perhaps too high for the average consumer to enjoy
