Fan Speed

With a ‘smart zero fan’ operation mode available on this power supply, you can choose, if you wish, to set this power supply to only operate the fan when absolutely necessary. Another running fan in a system does, after all, add to the overall noise levels produced.

While this option is available (and does kicked in during our testing at 100% load) the fan speeds provided in standard operation are perfectly acceptable too.

It seems that in normal operation, the fan generally held a 575 rpm only slightly increasing to circa 700rpm at full load. During all of this, however, it was still remarkably quiet so, utilising the ‘smart zero fan’ mode is, quite frankly, entirely up to you. Either way, hwoever, we don’t see any issues presenting themselves here!
